Privacy
Little Learning Pond is built so that children can use it without handing over any information.
What we collect
No personal information. There are no accounts, sign-ups, forms, comments, chat or ads. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or social media plug-ins, and we do not ask for names, emails, ages or locations.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Because the site does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, it does not collect any information covered by the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not sell or share information about visitors. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
What is saved on your device
The tools remember things like the word list, stars, coins, stickers, badges and any voice recordings you make. These are saved only in your own browser (local storage and IndexedDB). They never leave your device and we cannot see them.
- Clearing your browser data removes them.
- Progress does not move between devices or browsers.
- Recordings made in the tools stay on the device you recorded them on.
These are small settings files that the site needs to work. We do not use cookies to track you.
Microphone
The Spelling Practice and Phonogram tools can record your voice if you press Record and give your browser permission. Recordings are stored only on your device, are never uploaded, and can be deleted at any time in the tool.
Hosting and server logs
The site is delivered by a web hosting company. Like almost every website, its servers may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to identify or follow individual visitors.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see simple, anonymous totals, such as how many people visit, which pages are popular and which country visits come from. It is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not follow you from site to site, does not build a profile of you or your child, and does not record anything you type or say. We use these totals only to keep the site running well and to understand how it is being used.
Fonts, spoken words and other services
- The fonts are hosted on this site, so your browser does not contact Google or any other font service.
- The computer voice is your own device's built-in speech voice. The built-in recordings are files on this site.
- If you choose to post on our public comment board, you will go to a separate site run by someone else. Anything you post there is public and is covered by that site's rules and privacy policy, not ours. Please don't share children's names or other personal details.
- If you choose to donate, you will go to a separate payment site run by someone else, with its own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details.
- If you email us, we will use your message only to reply to you.
Changes
If this ever changes, for example if we add accounts, ads or other kinds of tracking, we will update this page first. Last updated: October 2026.
