📊 Data and Probability Practice
Data and probability are about making sense of information and judging how likely things are.
These topics cover the mean, median and mode of a data set, and probability.
Topics, by the age they were designed for
The age on each topic is the age it was designed for, based on typical US school math. Schools in other countries teach topics in a different order, so treat the age as a guide and start where your child is comfortable.
Helping at home
- Collect real data at home, such as the daily temperature or the scores in a game, then find the average.
- Probability is a fraction. Ask "how many ways can it happen out of how many in total?"
- Remember that mean is the fair share, median is the middle and mode is the most common.
How the practice works
Each practice round has 10 questions. Your child can type the answer or tap a choice, gets a second try, and sees the correct answer and a short hint when needed. Questions are generated fresh each time. It is free, with no sign-up and no ads, and progress and stars are saved on your device only.
Build your own course
On the Math Practice page, tap "Add to my course" on any topic from any age. Your picks are collected in one place, and a mixed round draws questions from only those topics.
