The age on each topic is the age it was designed for, based on typical US school math. Schools in other countries teach topics in a different order, so treat the age as a guide and start where your child is comfortable.

Helping at home

For a percent, find 10% first and build up. 30% is three lots of 10%.
Look for real ratios: recipes, maps, speed and prices per item.
