✖️ Multiplication and Division Practice
Times tables and division facts are some of the most useful things to know by heart in school math.
These topics start with halves and doubles, then times tables, division facts, multi-digit multiplication, long division and remainders.
Topics, by the age they were designed for
- Age 6Halves and doublesHalf of, double
- Age 8Times tablesMultiply 2 to 10
- Age 8Division factsDivide by 2 to 10
- Age 9Multiply bigger numbers2- and 3-digit × 1-digit
- Age 9Two-digit × two-digitBigger multiplication
- Age 9Long divisionExact answers
- Age 9RemaindersDivision with leftovers
- Age 10Long divisionBigger divisors
The age on each topic is the age it was designed for, based on typical US school math. Schools in other countries teach topics in a different order, so treat the age as a guide and start where your child is comfortable.
Helping at home
- Learn one table at a time, and keep coming back to the earlier ones.
- Patterns help. Skip counting, doubling for the 4s and the 9s trick make tables feel less like memorizing.
- Connect division to sharing. Ask how 24 cookies could be shared fairly between 6 friends.
How the practice works
Each practice round has 10 questions. Your child can type the answer or tap a choice, gets a second try, and sees the correct answer and a short hint when needed. Questions are generated fresh each time. It is free, with no sign-up and no ads, and progress and stars are saved on your device only.
Build your own course
On the Math Practice page, tap "Add to my course" on any topic from any age. Your picks are collected in one place, and a mixed round draws questions from only those topics.
